Mehak is a construction lawyer and India's first trained and certified woman construction mediator — dedicated to advancing women in construction law and supporting the next generation of practitioners through ConstructHER Legal Network.
Over 19 years navigating high-value EPC negotiations, cross-border disputes, and regulatory complexity across hydro, wind, and infrastructure projects in APAC. Most recently, she served as Legal Head for GE Vernova's Hydro business in Asia-Pacific — overseeing board-level governance, multi-jurisdictional settlements, and full project lifecycle legal strategy.
Recognised across the profession — inducted into the General Counsel Hall of Fame (2025), named to the BW Legal World 40 Under 40, and honoured as a Rising Star by the UK-India Legal Partnership. Recipient of the Woman Excellence Award (IIAM) and the Phenomenal She Award (Indian National Bar Association).
A published author and frequent speaker on construction law, arbitration, and the evolving in-house counsel function. Board member, Society of Construction Law India. Member of the ICC Institute of World Business Law, the IAMC Steering Committee, and CII's ESG and Climate Change Sub-Committee. Empanelled mediator with IAMC and the Construction Industry Arbitration Council.
